This was a 15 hour overnight trip for one of this year’s last opportunities to shoot the Milky Way core before the season is out here in the UK.

Great night out photographing on the cliffs of the south downs - even though I made a ridiculous number of basic errors in setting my gear up. Due to the errors I missed the best part of the night as you can see the clouds started to roll in. Nice green air glow too which was cool.

Beautiful pic but I can't help but wonder why they didn't locate the lighthouse on top of the cliff.

The green air glow and the clouds rolling in give very unique qualities to the Milky Way core, in my opinion. Basic errors, you say ? No, to me genius composition and one of a kind!
