I grew up in a small town in Northern Canada, and every hunting season my friend would write HORSE on his horses in bright orange paint.

For the fires in So Cal people spray painted phone numbers on their horses before setting them free (fires moved so fast they couldn’t evacuate). Caught them later and got them back with help from the phone number system!
