Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has advised Russian occupiers in Crimea to consider returning to Russia while the bridge built by the invaders across the Kerch Strait [Crimean (Kerch) Bridge] is still functioning.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "I have held several important meetings regarding the preparation of international events in August, in particular the Crimean Platform.

We are also preparing a list of liberation steps for Crimea.

We can reintegrate Crimea into the state fabric of Ukraine quite quickly.".

Details: Zelenskyy says Russian occupiers should consider returning home to Russia from the Ukrainian peninsula as long as the Crimean Bridge is still functioning.

"Crimea, like all of Ukraine, will be free – free from all Russian evil, starting with Russian missiles and ending with every Russian occupier.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that the Crimean Bridge is a legitimate target for Ukraine because Russian invaders use it to transport weapons. »

The Ohio officer who was handling a police dog that mauled a Black man after he surrendered to authorities with his hands raised has been fired, authorities said Wednesday.

Circleville Police Officer Ryan Speakman released the dog when Jadarrius Rose was stopped on July 4, police said in a statement.

Two-thirds of African leaders refuse to attend Putin’s summit

The majority of African nations' leaders have chosen not to attend the upcoming Russia-Africa summit, with 38 out of 55 countries opting not to send their heads of state, The Moscow Times reported on July 25.

The summit, intended to showcase Russia's diplomatic push to increase influence on the continent, is taking place amidst a significant boycott: only 17 out of 55 African countries will be represented by their leaders at the event scheduled for July 27-28.

Despite the significant no-show, Putin plans to hold personal meetings with each of the African leaders who do attend the summit. »
