Almost the exact same thing happened here in Atlanta in 2017.
It was fucking devastating to Atlanta traffic since that bridge carried hundreds of thousands of people every single day. And because of its location between GA-400 and the I-75 interchange, it was almost impossible to adequately reroute traffic.
