This photo was taken at my in-laws' house. We celebrate most of our family events over there...and they have terrible lighting for photography. So, when I noticed how the candlelight from the cake was landing on my daughter's face, I ran around the table to get a good angle. Caught her with a beautiful smile! Editing was all about making the colors and luminosity blend nicely and toning down everything in the shot that wasn't my daughter or the cake.

These are my favorite. Capturing a genuine smile outta my kids is like seeing a unicorn; damn difficult.

She looks adorable! Kudos to her for not looking awkward while people are singing happy birthday to her! lol
