It always catches me by surprise how close they are to the modern city of Cairo. In my mind, they are in the middle of the desert for some reason.

So I grew up in a house by the pyramids and I can literally see it in this picture! Honestly so much fun seeing this.
To the left is the Mina House and Mariott hotels and pyramids street. To the right is the Meridian hotel on Remaya square...
