I got lucky with this being a ‘right time right place’ kind of picture. Captured with my iPhone. I cropped out another chair that was actually present in the original on the left side of the frame to accentuate the white space and the sense of coming in and out of the void that the white out conditions created. More empty space preserved at the bottom to also emphasize a complete loss of orientation to height.

I also darkened the image slightly because the original is a little too bright to look at without also getting a sense of the experience of snow blindness.

Edit to add: this is the Knob Chair at Marmot Basin in Jasper. And yes, that was absolutely a harrowing ride back down.
