Only yesterday I saw a hawk snag a bird out of the sky right above me. I didn’t really know what happened until the feather plume appeared and I saw it dragging the bird to its dreary death. Was insane.
This is probably my favourite photo of a wildlife experience. The look of the mother jackal’s face, her stance, her coat almost standing on edge, the moment of utter fear and chaos frozen in her desperation to catch her pup… it’s both terrifying and incredible to have been captured. I can feel this photo. Even the little pup is crying in its free-fall. The eagle, ominous and huge, looming over as a reminder of what nature can do. I’m very happy that both pup and momma jackal are okay. What a moment to have captured.

The look of the mother jackal’s face, her stance, her coat almost standing on edge, the moment of utter fear and chaos frozen in her desperation to catch her pup… it’s both terrifying and incredible to have been captured. I can feel this photo. Even the little pup is crying in its free-fall. The eagle, ominous and huge, looming over as a reminder of what nature can do. I’m very happy that both pup and momma jackal are okay. What a moment to have captured.
