As we approach solar maximum, the Aurora Australis and Aurora Borealis are becoming more abundant and impressive. This is a bucket list shot of mine - This site of tesselated stones is only present in a couple of places in the world, and was formed ~300M years ago. During high tide, the area fills with water and it is possible to get reflections in the pools of water. I have tried to capture an aurora here several times, but this is the first successful attempt.

I worked on a couple of compositions before settling with this one. This shot is a combination of a 30s exposure to get enough detail in the foreground, and the aurora and MW was captured straight after with a 13s exposure. Postprocessing, blending and stacking was performed in lightroom and PS with DXO pure raw, Astropanel X, Topaz labs, and DXO nik collection.
