German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has said that operations by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian territory are perfectly acceptable.

Details: The official stated that any situation in which the attacked country penetrates the enemy's territory during hostilities, to cut off its supply lines for example, is absolutely normal.

"As long as there are no attacks on cities, civilians, and civilian areas, we will have to accept this, even if we don’t like it, but it has to happen, for example, to cut off supply routes," the German minister said.

Earlier, Pistorius said that the war unleashed by Russia was an obstacle to discussing Ukraine's accession to NATO. The minister noted that NATO should "carefully" weigh any step towards Ukraine's inclusion in the Alliance.

Borders are not some magical line you can hide behind. Going to war with someone is the same as opening your borders to them.

Imagine if the Allies in WW2 reached the German border and Hitler said "Ok you have to stop now, you cant enter Germany" and everyone just went home. Imagine how absolutely insanely ridiculous that sounds. Now take that scenario and apply it to this exact same situation.

Of course Ukraine is allowed to attack inside russia if they feel like it. And they already have (for example Millerovo air base). If they dont want Ukraine doing operations in russia then they have 3 options: Go home and hope Ukraine stops. Go home and try to negotiate some sort of peace deal. Or surrender.
