Took this one during a few days out of town, when I was solely focused on chasing clear dark skies. This is from Moke Lake, near Queenstown- which isn't exactly the darkest spot in NZ. However, the glow from the town isn't enough to really overpower the overall Milky Way detail, which is nice.

As always, here's my EXIF info:

Gear used: Nikon Z7, Nikkor Z 14-24 f2.8S, Sigma Art 40 f1.4, Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer Pro

Settings:

Sky: 10 frames x 3 rows (approximately), each shot at 40mm, f1.6, ISO3200, 30 second exposures. Merged in PTGui.

Foreground: 4 frames x 1 row, each shot at 14mm, f5.0, ISO6400, 150 second exposures. Stacked to reduce noise in Photoshop prior to merge in PTGui.

Final blend and adjustments done in Photoshop and Lightroom.
