Rep. Lauren Boebert says she doesn't plan to "nitpick what the Bible says" about whether it was right or wrong for her 17-year-old son, Tyler, to get his girlfriend pregnant.

"We can nitpick what the Bible says is right and wrong, but I think just having that heart posture of wanting to serve God, it's so important.".

In February, she also suggested without evidence or substantiation that God used her to stand up to "demons" such as Rep. Kevin McCarthy.

The Albanese government announced yesterday its terms for a modified National Classification Scheme, and among the changes include a minimum M rating for games with paid loot boxes, and a minimum R18+ rating for games containing "simulated gambling".

That means any game with loot boxes purchasable with real money could be slapped with an M rating, even a good 'ol soccer game like FIFA, which normally receives a G rating in Australia (for general audiences).

Even then, it's not a dead certainty: the proposals need the support of each of Australia's states and territories. »
