A Senate staffer was brutally stabbed in Northeast over the weekend, according to a statement released by the elected official they work for.

Senator Rand Paul issued a statement Monday regarding the incident.

"This past weekend a member of my staff was brutally attacked in broad daylight in Washington, D.C.

I ask you to join Kelley and me in praying for a speedy and complete recovery, and thanking the first responders, hospital staff, and police for their diligent actions," the statement reads.

The victim, who Senator Paul says works for him, was found suffering from stab wounds in the area.

Federal Bureau of Prisons records show Neal was released from prison on Friday – the day before the stabbing.

He spent nearly 12 Years behind bars for compelling two North Carolina women to engage in prostitution through the use of threats. »

China reports human case of H3N8 bird flu

A woman in southern China has tested positive for H3N8 bird flu, local officials say, making it only the third time that the virus has been found in humans, although a previous strain may have caused the 1889 pandemic.

H3N8 is found in birds but also in horses and is one of the two viruses which cause dog flu.

The new case in China is only the third confirmed case in humans, and the first in an adult. »

Tony Hawk considered backing another skating game before signing with Activision

Tony Hawk has discussed how his partnership with Activision on its billion-dollar skateboarding game series might never have been.

Hawk said he may have chosen to endorse a rival skating game that was more technically challenging to play had Activision not come knocking when it did.

Last year, Hawk claimed a planned remake of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 was canned after Activision Blizzard decided to merge developer Vicarious Visions with Blizzard Entertainment. »
