Lauren Boebert blasts sex-ed classes. Twitter reminded her she was a teen mom

While speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) stated that public school students should be banned from learning about how LGBTQ+ people have sex.

“There are schools that are teaching worse than just gender ideology,” she said. “I mean they have comprehensive sex-ed. They’re teaching kids how to have and enjoy sex – and even same-sex sex.”

Boebert said no public school students should be learning these things and that schools that teach it should have their funding cut. She also claimed elementary school students were learning these things, though she offered no proof.

Twitter users ruthlessly mocked Boebert for her stance, considering she dropped out of high school when she became a teen mom – perhaps due to a lack of “comprehensive sex education”?

Lauren Boebert believes that we should take sex ed out of schools and get it back behind the bowling alley, where it belongs. — Jay Black (@jayblackisfunny) March 8, 2023

Since @laurenboebert learned how to enjoy sex without Sexual Ed in HS, she may have learned how to avoid a pregnancy if the class was offered. School may have failed her. — DeeTumbleweed (@rosebudsx95) March 8, 2023

So Republicans are against people enjoying sex.

Explains a lot. — Deep Blue State (Insert blue check here) (@RubyMegalodon) March 8, 2023

I guess that's one way to increase teen pregnancy numbers. — Astronomikos (@rawveggies) March 8, 2023

When I want advice on effective sex ed, I often turn to high school dropouts who had children while they were still teenagers. — zaphod_veeblebrox (@ZaphodV) March 8, 2023

Where are they teaching how to same sex sex??? — Andrew Turner (@refturner) March 8, 2023

No, they are teaching how to prevent pregnancy so no one drops out of high school or has to marry a high school drop out because babies having babies is not good. Your body can have babies doesn’t mean you should. You should wait until you are emotionally & financially ready — C.S. O'Grady (@CSOGRADY) March 8, 2023

That wasn't what Sex ed taught when I went to school. They taught the mechanics of sex, anatomy of sexual organs and prevention of pregnancy and disease. — Duncan M (@mduncan321) March 8, 2023

What elementary schools teach sex Ed? I want facts, from across the nation! Percentages etc! — Isabelle (@isalisamisabell) March 8, 2023

Yeah, best way to learn is like she did – in the back parking lot behind the tastee freeze! — Richard Styner (@rstyner) March 8, 2023

Guarantee you she's never sat in on one of these sex ed classes or even looked at the curriculum. Also - I'm an elementary school teacher in New York, a pretty damn liberal state, and we certainly don't teach sex ed to our kids. To my knowledge, sex ed starts in 7th grade here, and is limited to teaching about physiology and contraceptives. Kids aren't "taught how to have sex".

And she gleefully announced today that her 17yo son is gonna be a dad in April, making her a 36yo grandma.

The plot of Idiocracy in action, folks.

Its hard to fathom that someone this stupid is a politician. Bullshit can be called out on them in real time yet they lie every chance they get.
