For real, the dude should be immortalized. In the face of death, the dude didn't flinch.

What's his name?

This fellow is the embodiment of the Ukrainian spirit.

Crazy how off Putin was in his miscalculation that the Ukrainian people would "welcome russia as its liberators", or that "the only people who would fight would be rabid nazis", or something.

Even staring down the barrel, at the cost of his life, he wouldn't disown his country. In the video you could see him thoughtfully weigh his words, and decide deliberately that it wasn't worth a chance at being spared to do anything less than one final rejection of Russian coercion.

The most genuine, stoic "fuck it" I've ever seen. Fucking tragic, fucking horrible, fucking heroic. His country & his people deserve nothing less than everything they're defending & sacrificing for. They deserved it without loss of life, so they certainly deserve it now.

I hope my country will keep giving more & more to ensure Ukraine secures the democracy they do rightly deserve. I don't care that the USA has spent 2% of its total GDP, not even worth a flinch. This "0.5% of my paycheck" crap is infuriatingly short sighted. I'd gladly pay higher taxes if it meant vindication of this needless sacrifice, and rebuke of backwards-ass war of aggression. Warms my heart that Europe & the USA is united against the annexation that used to plague our continents. Normally I bitch like no one else about the excesses of military spending & interventionism, but this is an obvious exception.
