OP you should really go through all the comments and take the advice for serious. Having a car is great and trying to be responsible at 17 is a good thing. But paying double for a car is trouble. You are still young, you have no idea what happens in the next 5 years. A couple of missed payments and your life can get flip upside down easily. A car is not an investment. Whatever path you choose to take, make your decision carefully.
As someone who’s driving a 10 year old car I paid off years ago, I am absolutely dreading the day I have to start making car payments again. Everything is so fucking expensive
