Food Not Bombs was very big in Seattle in the 90s, and Kurt Cobain was a pretty activist-minded dude.

It would not be surprsing if Dave Grohl has been doing this for his entire life.

Dave grohl once bought me and my girlfriend at the time lunch when I ran into him at a mall in Springfield VA. I just wanted to say hi and tell him I was a fan, his response was "thanks so much, I'm going to the food court, are you guys hungry?"

I worked for a homeless services center in LA not too long ago and their late drummer - Taylor Hawkins - came in one day, along with his family, to serve meals.

Really nice guy, hung around afterwards to chat a bit with our staff.

Birds of a feather, I suppose. RIP, Taylor.
