I found this mill purely by chance, while riding on a rail to trail conversion in northwestern New Jersey, in the United States. I spotted a tiny, faded sign in the weeds that said "Mill Pond Trail", with no evidence of a trail. About 20 yards later, I stopped and went back for a closer look. What looked like a deer path lead me to a small clearing with a bench and this mill, across the South Branch of the Raritan River. Lesson learned...slow down and smell the roses. Had I ignored that tiny sign, I'd have never experienced this snippet of life.
