Greene noted that she had lost money since being elected.
The Georgia Republican also said that the "demanding" job takes too much time.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said that working in Congress has made her life "miserable" for various reasons, including the low salary.
"Becoming a member of Congress has made my life miserable. I made a lot more money before I got here. I've lost money since I've gotten here," Greene said while appearing on journalist Glenn Greenwald's podcast.
"It's not a life that I think is like something that I enjoy because I don't enjoy it, but I'm committed to this job because I believe in it," she said.
According to public records, Greene earns an annual salary of $174,000.
Before being elected to Congress in 2020, Greene co-founded a CrossFit affiliate gym in Georgia. It is not clear how much money she previously earned.
The firebrand Georgia Republican mentioned other elements of the job that make it difficult, including that it takes up too much time.
"The nature of this job, it keeps members of Congress and senators in Washington so much of the time, too much of the time to be honest with you," Greene said.
She said she doesn't get to go home and spend much time with her family and friends because of the "demanding job."
She also complained that she gets harassed on the street by people who "come up to me and say crazy things to me out of the blue in public places that they believe because they read it on the internet or saw it on some news show about me."
The congresswoman has generated criticism for her various controversial views, including her links with the QAnon conspiracy theory, her expressing support for baseless conspiracy theories about some mass shootings being false flags, and her comparing COVID-19 measures to the Holocaust.

Her being in Congress makes me miserable too because it's a daily reminder that there are people who not only think like she does but think she's doing a good enough job to keep voting and support her. Maybe she could quit and go back to sleeping with employees and running businesses into the ground with her family's wealth.
