The Ukrainian military destroyed all 24 Iranian-made kamikaze drones, which Russia used to attack Ukraine overnight.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force Command said this in a post on Facebook.

"On the night of January 26, the Russian occupiers resumed attacks on Ukraine with the Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones," the report said.

It added that the attack UAVs had been launched from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov.

According to preliminary data, the enemy used 24 Shaheds. All of them were destroyed by anti-aircraft missile units, fighter aircraft and mobile groups of the Ukrainian Air Force, in cooperation with air defense units of other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

"Most kamikaze drones were destroyed in the center of the country -- in the area of responsibility of the Air Command Center," the report added.

Late on Wednesday, January 25, an air raid alert went off in a number of regions in Ukraine due to the launch by Russia of Iranian-made kamikaze drones.

It's only one day but still to be 100% successful in removing these 24 Shahed 136's from the sky before they did untold damage is a massive win IMO.

It is evidence of perhaps better air defense coming on stream and better skill at identifying such targets by our frontline heroes.

It may not be the juicy popcorn headlines like a Ka-52 or Su-25 being taken down but IMO this is still very significant news.

A 100% success rate daily would be a welcome dream come true but unfortunately we know that is sadly unlikely.

All we can hope and wish for is that they get consistently as close to 100% as possible.
