A guy I used to work with was selling tickets for their local baseball teams, something like what you have there. His had one drawing a day for 5 days and the numbers were based off the pick 3 lottery numbers in our state. You didn't actually win the gun, you won the price equivalent of the gun.
The prize increased throughout the week, and I think Friday was something like what you're holding, an AR-15.
I only remember this because I was one of the 5 winners. I believe it was Thursday and received a Cabela's gift card for $800. I don't remember which gun was supposed to be the equivalent of that. That being said I took the wife and kids to Cabela's and we had a shopping spree of sorts.
