This photo was taken with my Canon EOS 40D with a 70-300mm lens attached to several extension tubes, plus a standard desk lamp which was used to light the scene. The hydrophobic nature of the feather made it easy to get the waterdrop to ball up and collect the glitter.
If you look closely, you can probably see part of my reflection in the droplet.
Editing was minimal, with some cropping and a slight hue tweak to cool the image a little.

I feel like there’s something to be said about the fragility of beauty or something.
Then I feel basic because my real first thought was “ I’m just impressed at how small glitter is.”
