The Tekken producer is currently busy working on multiple projects, including the latest entry in the fighting game series, Tekken 8.

Japanese publication 4Gamer asked a number of game creators involved in the production of popular games about their aspirations for the year 2023. In his response, the producer of the Tekken series Katsuhiro Harada stated that he is currently involved in the development of multiple titles, one of which is the recently announced Tekken 8.

Harada mentioned that there’s still plenty of work left on Tekken 8, and development will take some time. That said, he remained confident that the development team is doing its best. Though, he added that he’s concerned that he may not have enough time to do what he wants to do as a game developer. We certainly hope that Harada is afforded enough time to make the game he looks forward to making.

Previously, it was revealed by the Tekken producer that Tekken 8 is tentatively planned for release in early 2024. Speaking with regards to the future of e-sports for the Tekken fighting game series, Harada mentioned that Tekken 7 has been announced for the forthcoming EVO Japan, which is scheduled to happen by the end of March/beginning of April. He added that it would be “cool” for there to be a tour from then onward, leading up to the release of Tekken 8, which would fall sometime early in 2024.

Tekken 8 is an upcoming fighting game developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is set to be released for Windows PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S as the eighth main installment in the Tekken series.

The Tekken franchise is based on a series of fighting video and arcade games developed by Bandai Namco Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The conflict between the Mishima family serves as the main focus of the series’ plot, while players explore other characters’ motivations in their quest to control the Zaibatsu. The main games in the series follow the events of the King of Iron Fist Tournament, hosted by the Mishima Zaibatsu, where players control a variety of characters to win the tournament and take over the business.

He already was promoted as General Manager in Bandai Namco who is now overseeing most IP's. I assume the other stuff would be the next Ace Combat game, Dragon Ball, Digimon, Tales, and Soulcalibur.
