Recently drove to a popular campground/resort to catch a final sunset before the road snows in for the season. However, hoping that the lake would be above the overcast layer I instead found it was right in the cloud bases, and was greeted with this eerie winter scene. A contrast from this location's typical bustling summer energy. This was not the photo I had expected to take, but a composition and atmosphere outside of my usual landscapes that I'm happy I captured.
