Cruel Marjorie Taylor Greene criticizes Joe Biden for condemning gay bar shooting

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is getting blasted online for criticizing President Joe Biden for condemning the mass shooting at a Colorado Springs, Colorado LGBTQ bar.

“Why am I not shocked that you’re downplaying the deaths of LGBTQ people,” University of California, San Francisco Professor Jack Turban asked Greene in response to her macabre tweets.

On Saturday, five people were left dead and 18 wounded in a mass shooting at Club Q, an LGBTQ bar that was going to host a drag brunch the following morning. Biden immediately condemned the violence.

“While no motive in this attack is yet clear, we know that the LGBTQI+ community has been subjected to horrific hate violence in recent years,” Biden said in a White House statement. “Places that are supposed to be safe spaces of acceptance and celebration should never be turned into places of terror and violence.”

“Today, Jill and I are praying for the families of the five people killed in Colorado Springs last night, and for those injured in this senseless attack.”

Greene took to Twitter to attack Biden.

“Tragically, 300 Americans die of fentanyl poisoning everyday in America and Biden says and does nothing,” Greene said, referring to one of the latest fringe rightwing myths: that drug dealers are putting the synthetic opioid fentanyl on random people’s car door handles in parking lots, causing them to die when they touch the fentanyl-laced door handles. Greene repeated the urban legend in full this past October when she claimed someone in her family had a neighbor who almost died when fentanyl was put on his car door handle outside of a TJ Maxx.

Also the CDC estimates that 150 people die every day from overdoses of all opioids, which are the result of sometimes years of use, not just touching a surface with the drug.

“Tragically, 5 people were killed in a shooting in Colorado and Biden immediately demands a ban on assault weapons. The solutions are this: 1. Secure the border and stop the drugs.; 2. Defend our right to keep and bear arms so that people can defend themselves from killers who could care less about laws.”

In reality, most of the fentanyl in the U.S. – 86.3% – is sold by citizens.

Greene faced criticism for minimizing the deaths of the five people in the shooting and for suggesting that getting more people guns would have been a solution.

Her first reaction after the shooting in Colorado is, “look over there, Americans are also dying of Fentanyl poisoning.” She’s not even pretending she helped this to happen. — 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐝𝐢 (@ChidiNwatu) November 20, 2022

That's cute you are pretending you care about others. — CAMPBIZZLE (@happycrazytown) November 20, 2022

Raise your hand if you think that Marjorie Taylor Greene should be removed from office immediately. 🤚 — Lara reads banned books in Florida (@MadeInTheUSANJ) November 20, 2022

Did you offer condolences to the families of the 5 people murdered in CO. No, because you don't care. You can only think of diversions. What are you doing in GA about the Fentanyl epidemic? Don't remember, can't recall, don't know? — Churchlady Laura (@churchlady65203) November 20, 2022

As usual Marge @MTG is a liar. Here are Biden’s actions and funding which address the opioid overdose situation in our country. This policy of Biden’s is EXACTLY the kind of policy Republicans would reject and Marge knows it. pic.twitter.com/MG2ys8FWHH — Beki Knott 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 (@lotsofuss) November 20, 2022

Lady, it wasn't just five people just one time. This is a regular occurrence and something needs to be done. Americans aren't safe at: Night clubs

Work… I could add to this list forever. — Frank Wears A Mask (@Frankisangry) November 20, 2022

There aren't 300 deaths per day from fentanyl so I'm not sure why we should pay attention to anything else you claim. — Pé🌻🐀 (@4everNeverTrump) November 20, 2022

You don’t care about any of those lost lives.

Unsurprisingly. — Jo 🌻 (@JoJoFromJerz) November 20, 2022

I love whenever something happens, the GOP will always bring up another topic to distract people with.

10 year old girl was raped in Ohio and all they cared about was how the rapist was an immigrant. Ivalde shooting occurs, all they said was how they should add more cops and tighten security without addressing the gun problem. This one I think takes the cake though, the fact she brings up fentanyl means they’re getting desperate for things to direct people’s attention to. It’s completely irrelevant.

It's not just her, but the voters who elect her. Ultimately, they're to blame. I'm tired of the "Liberals need to reach out to her voters because they feel "abandoned." Nobody abandoned them, they just put people like her in office

Don’t know who’s worse, MTG or the people who voted to keep her in office. Absolutely disgusting human beings. 😡
