There's a certain irony - or karma - a guy goes into a gay club hosting a drag queen event, tries to do a mass shooting, gets taken down by a combat veteran who's there with his wife, his daughter, and his daughter's boyfriend. (As I understand it, sadly the boyfriend was shot and died).

This guy jumped the shooter, took him down, knocked away his rifle, and beat him senseless with the shooter's own pistol and put him in hospital. Then to top it all off, when the guy tried reach for the rifle during the struggle, one of the drag queens stomped his hand with a high heel spike.

Sometimes your intended victims aren't what they seem.

An army veteran who was attending the drag show at club Q with his wife and daughter chased the gunman down, tackled him, took the gun, then beat the shooter to a pulp with his own gun. A drag queen then stomped on the gunman with her high heels: http://www.washingtonpost.com/.../clubq-shooter-stopped.../

The interview he gave on CNN was absolutely heartbreaking. I feel so bad for this guy, his family and friends, and the other victims. He doesn't want people to think he's a hero because he wasn't able to prevent the death of his daughter's boyfriend or keep his 2 friends from being shot. My man, as a soldier you know you can't always prevent casualties, but you're a hero in my book. I'll soon be a very proud owner of some Atrevida Beer swag.
