WHY DID I WRITE THIS ARTICLE?: Hi!.. I am not developing any episodes or updating the mod currently. Because I am in "resting period" (for now) instead of "development period". But I have some news and future plans for the next development period(s). I want to share them with you.

1-) I BECAME MORE INDEPENDENT: You know that I was only the campaign (episodes) designer of this mod. I was unable to add new graphics. But I improved my knowledge while solving problems for this mod. I can add new graphics from "DOOM2.wad" (or all other "SLADE" compatible files) with the help of the "SLADE" program. After extracting related graphics as .png files I can transfer them to my "Age of DOOM" mod when I want. But I was very dependent to Gallas and Guyza in my earlier times. However I am still grateful to them due to their efforts. Also their names always will be in the "Credits" section.

2-) TRIGGER EXTENDING PROGRAMS: You need to use "triggers" instead of writing codes in the Age of Empires 2 map editor. So if you can use more detailed triggers you can make better episodes. I decided to use WAIFor's and Daniel's "Trigger Patches" (both of them at the same time) to make better episodes. Their more detailed and extra triggers make everything easier for my next episodes. But I didn't test them enough to work right. So this is not guarantee (for now).

3-) NEW CLASSIC DOOM CAMPAIGN: I didn't start this campaign but I have some plans for this campaign.

I will add decoration graphics, terrain (floor) graphics (like lava and road), item graphics (like ammos, keys and medkit) and weapon graphics from "DOOM2.wad" to make this campaign looks like even closer to original Doom.

It will be a classic (arcade) campaign like id Tech 1 wads. There will be no story or cutscenes. You will control the Marine and clear the map without interrupting the action. It will be like classic Doom maps in Age of Empires 2 engine. Kill monsters, collect keys (and others) and reach the exit.

Kill monsters, collect keys (and others) and reach the exit. There won't be the "Sprint" mechanic in this campaign like id Tech 1 wads. Marine will be a fast unit.

It will be the "Knee-Deep in the Dead" episode's remake with 8 maps (levels).

Each map will last 10-30 minutes.

Only first episode monsters will appear. But I will add 2 more extra enemy units: The Zombie and The Nightmare Imp... In the last map (8) player will face 2 Barons.

Also players will listen episode musics in each map.

4-) ROBIN HOOD'S DOOM CAMPAIGN: You know that I have "Robin Hood's Doom" campaign. If you don't know there is a more detailed article about it after clicking HERE. I didn't release this campaign in "ModDB". Because the current released version has too many unacceptable flaws. So I will make the "redux" version of this campaign for the future release. Players will control "Robin Hood" and try to destroy a Demon Portal to save the World. Most of the levels will be in a big castle. The final level will be in the Hell. Also new mechanics will be available like the "Spider" campaign. It will be an action oriented campaign.

5-) SKIPPABLE CUTSCENES: The "Doom" campaign's and the "Spider" campaign's cinematic sequences (before starting to the action sequence) will be skippable for the players who want to skip. So no more waiting for the action sequence. But the people who wish can still watch the all cinematic sequence.

But the people who wish can still watch the all cinematic sequence. 6-) BETTER WEAPON MECHANICS: Players will be able to change their weapon with only pressing a related number of the keyboard. They won't need to open the "Chat" section anymore. They will able to change a weapon like original Doom games. Also when players change a weapon the projectile type and weapon sounds will be updated for the current weapon.

7-) EVEN MORE POLISH: All available episodes will be tested at least one more time and polished more to approach their maximum potential.

BUT WHEN?: There is no certain time limit. Because I have a limited free time due to my real life and there are too many tasks as you read. But maybe I can release the "Classic Doom" campaign at first. After releasing it in "ModDB" I may start the "Robin Hood's Doom" campaign as the next step. I mean that instead of making all of them in a big (major) update I may finish all of them with smaller updates with a planned order. Regards...
