I like growing crystals at home, and copper sulfate is one of my favorite crystals to grow. They form into this shape naturally, without needing to be cut or faceted.
I make the crystals by dissolving first copper sulfate in water, letting the solution evaporate and waiting for small crystals to form. Then I hang a small crystal in a jar of solution and place it on my cupboard. It takes about 2-3 weeks for them to get this big.
If you guys are interested, here's the full procedure I used.
Hopefully you guys liked it. Chemistry is super cool.
