I know this one.
You first take the cat across the river, then come back for the bird, then you swap the cat for the bird, go back to swap the cat with the dog. Now the dog and bird are on the other side of the river you come back for the cat and take that across.

I bet the quaker isn't afraid of them at all; would gladly walk over there and take some food then eat it while eyeing them off.
