To replenish its manpower losses, the military leadership of the Russian Federation continues the practice of recruiting mercenaries, including foreign ones.

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06:00, October 14, published on Facebook.

"The aggressor continues to focus its efforts on reaching the administrative border of Donetsk region, holding the captured districts of Kherson, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions. The enemy shells the positions of our troops along the entire contact line, reinforcing its positions in some directions and conducting aerial reconnaissance, redeploying reserves, carrying out mobilization, and recruiting mercenaries," the report reads.

The enemy does not stop striking the critical infrastructure and civilian facilities throughout Ukraine. Over the past 24 hours, civilian objects and residents of Brody, Nalyvaykivka of Kyiv region, Mykolaiv, and Nikopol came under enemy fire.

The enemy used cruise, aviation, anti-aircraft guided missiles and Iranian-made combat drones to launch strikes.

In general, over the past day, the occupiers launched two missile strikes, 16 airstrikes, and more than 70 MLRS attacks.

The situation in Volyn and Polissia directions has not changed significantly.

In the town of Enerhodar on October 10-11, an increase in the personnel of the Russian-occupation forces in the territory of the nuclear power plant was noticed. According to the available information, the occupiers use the plant as a base to deploy personnel as the plant is not fired upon.

The enemy intensifies regime measures. At the checkpoints around Melitopol, FSB agents conduct out thorough searches along with Russian military personnel.

To replenish the manpower losses, the Russian military leadership continues the practice of recruiting mercenaries, including foreign citizens.

It is known about the arrival of about 400 foreign militants in the temporarily occupied Crimea on October 9. They are expected to be involved in hostilities in the territory of Ukraine.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian troops repelled the enemy attacks near Terny, Opytne, Vesele, Nevelske, Odradivka, Ivanhrad, Bakhmut, Nova Kamyanka, and Sukhyi Stavok settlements.

Wasn't Russia hiring mercenaries where this started?

Edit: to clarify, this is really just a rhetorical question, being a bit tongue in cheek.

Mercenaries work for tons of money and winning...non of which Russia has.

To be a fly in the elevator for that pitch.

"It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to test your employees against NATO-supported military intelligence, artillery, and an opposition who spent the past decade preparing for our invasion. I know what Machiavelli said about the morale of peasants defending their home, and that of mercenaries - but you guys will be a game-changer. You sort out your own logistics, yes?"
