Kanye West has been locked out of his Twitter account after posting an anti-Semitic tweet, BuzzFeed News reports and Pitchfork can confirm.
The social media platform removed the tweet shortly after West published it for violating its rules and guidelines.
There is currently a notice from Twitter in the tweet’s place that reads: “This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules.”
Although West’s Twitter account is currently still live, a Twitter spokesperson told Pitchfork that “the account was locked for violating Twitter’s policies.”
Pitchfork has reached out to Kanye West’s representatives for further information and comment.
West later addressed Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Twitter, saying “how you gone kick me off instagram.”
In March, West’s Instagram account was suspended for 24 hours after posting a slur targeting The Daily Show host Trevor Noah. »
