I photographed this earlier tonight at Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. My friend dropped me off at an island a half mile away and we stayed in touch on the phone so he could position the boat just underneath the rising moon.
I planned this shot with the app PlanIt Pro which does an amazing job of showing how the shot will look like in advance so you can scout before you go.
Shot with a Sony A7rIII and Sony 200-600mm lens at 600mm, f/6.3, 1/25s.
