People who’ve never been to the northeast - pictures do not do it justice. I’m from California, born and raised, and I swear “foliage” was not a word in my vocabulary until I went from northern Pennsylvania through Northern NY, Connecticut and Massachusetts in the fall. Also Learned the term “leaf peeping” lol

In Arizona, we have to wait for one specific day in December for the leaves to change color and fall off at the same time.
