Brand new leaked screenshots for Blizzard’s upcoming Diablo IV have emerged, revealing the game’s world map, character customization menu, and more.

In addition to the world map and character customization menu, these leaked screenshots from Diablo IV also show the the skill tree and the total number of Acts in the campaign. In addition to what appear to be the prologue and epilogue, there are a total of 6 Acts featured in the game.

The aforementioned leaked screenshots from Diablo 4 can be seen below.

As seen above, the character customization menu offers a variety of color palettes to choose from, as well as ornaments to wear. The character creator appears to show some varied options, as there seem to be a decent number of face and body types for players to choose from.

Diablo IV is an upcoming action role-playing game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment, and is the fourth main installment in the Diablo series. The game’s release date was revealed on June 12, 2022, after the game’s announcement on November 1, 2019 during BlizzCon 2019. While new elements like an open environment and pvp interactions will be added, series staples like re-playable, randomly generated dungeons and loot-focused character creation will remain. Barbarian, Sorceress, Druid, Rogue, and Necromancer are the five playable classes that have been revealed; they have all made an appearance in the series. Players control their avatar as they complete tasks and engage in battle in the Sanctuary universe while the exiled Lilith reappears to cause mayhem.

Based on screenshots that were leaked recently, the game includes two options for tutorial preference, the first of which offers more guidance to the player via in-depth tutorials, and is recommended for those who are new to the Diablo series. The other option provides guidance only limited to new features, and is recommended for experienced Diablo players.

The game’s difficulty setting can be altered at any time from the character selection screen or from the world tier statue in Kyovashed. The difficulty options include a world tier 1 Adventurer setting that is recommended for new players or those who are looking for a lighter challenge and a world tier 2 Veteran setting that is recommended for Diablo veterans who are looking for a challenging experience.

God please be as good as D2. Absolutely nothing has held my attention as much as that game.

The trend I follow these days is to watch the game a month after release to see if it really is worthwhile or just a money grab. I was hugely excited for GT7 and not buying it was a solid move. The ability to sell won cars was removed making the grind 100 times worse.

Diablo’s 2 was one of my first RPG loves in gaming. I didn’t mind the grind because the odds were the same for all of us. I remember celebrating with strangers on message boards when someone found epic loot. That allure of ‘just one more run’ is severely diminished if it can be purchased. I have a feeling I’m staying away if any micro transactions are present. Maybe I’m too old and nostalgic. Or maybe I’m right.

Do we know anything about microtransactions? Are they in or out?

I really wish there was a good competitor to this franchise. One without the Blizzard BS.
