On Friday, Reuters reported that Israel has sold another air defense system, Rafael’s SPYDER, to the UAE.

The Ukrainian president, who is Jewish, expressed surprise in the French interview at Israel’s position, given the links between the two countries.

“You know there are many people in Ukraine of Jewish origin, and there are a lot of Ukrainians in Israel.

Zelensky and other Ukrainian officials have consistently pressed Israel on the issue since the Russian invasion on February 24.

Stanford scientist who discovered cause of narcolepsy wins Breakthrough Prize

The richest award in science is going to a Stanford sleep scientist and other top thinkers in their fields, named winners of the glitzy Breakthrough Prize on Thursday morning.

In addition, two young Stanford mathematicians, both women, were awarded the “New Horizons” prize in which $500,000 is split among early-career researchers.

Mignot, a professor of sleep medicine at Stanford, is the university’s third Breakthrough Prize winner. »

Protests flared in Iran for an eighth straight night Friday over the death of a young woman arrested by the morality police, verified social media posts showed, hours after counter-demonstrations mobilised by authorities.
