CANADIAN LAKES, MI – A Michigan couple recently celebrated their big day with a slew of tasty, little snacks.

It started when the bride, Kasey Bailey of Howard City, reached out to packaged meat brand Hillshire Farm to explain that she and her fiancé, Mike, were massive fans of the brand’s Lit’l Smokies.

So much so, that the couple had celebrated some of their biggest occasions with the popular cocktail sausages and their wedding day would be no different. According to Bailey, the couple planned to serve them as an appetizer at their wedding.

But when then big day arrived and guests gathered at the Castle at Canadian Lakes on Aug. 27, the Lit’l Smokies were available in a way they never expected.

As it turned out, Hillshire Farm had caught word of the couple’s love for the snack, prompting representatives from the company to arrive at the reception with a custom four-tiered Lit’l Smokies cocktail cake.

“Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies have been a part of our celebrations for as long as I can remember and reminds me of home and family,” Bailey said. “So, when it came to our wedding, it made sense to have Lit’l Smokies at our celebration. I never expected Hillshire Farm brand to gift us an amazing Lit’l Smokies Sausage Cocktail Cake! It made the day even more memorable for us...and tasty for our guests.”

Hillshire Farm also provided the happy couple with a year’s supply of Lit’l Smokies to enjoy throughout their first year of marriage.

“We didn’t see it on the registry,” a note read.” But hope you like it.”
