I understand that it's a religious issue at heart, but speaking as an atheist Westerner, it seems so...arbitrary. The idea of getting so incensed over a woman showing her hair to the point of killing her? I just can't even imagine.
It's like if there was a whole religious argument about whether you tie the laces on your left or right shoe first. Does it matter? If there were a god, do you really think it would care?
These ladies are incredibly brave. It’s is also pleasing to see men in the protest supporting change.
