I should add some notes seeing some of your comments: This is about our basic human rights and separating religion from our government, not a chance for you guys to support regressive policies controlling what a woman wears in your country. I left Iran to be free. I am a woman and I am an atheist. Many like me are stuck in Iran.
Edit: people asking what should we do about this. I’m not in support of going to war with Iran. But how about not letting the children of our oppressors live lavish lives in the west. That’s blood money they bring to your countries. this man who was directly involved in creating the morality unit of Tehran police was recently seen just hanging out in a gym in Toronto. Would you let Nazis into your country? Why let him in?

No matter the religious extremist flavor, this is the outcome. Stop letting government be your proxy to force your beliefs on others. If it’s the righteous way to live, then exemplify it in your own life.
