This particular business - Tatsumiya - is NOT a mochi shop. I'd say it is pretty obvious from model dishes and the sign saying Sukiyaki. This is a restaurant that specializes in eel and some other Japanese dishes.
The restaurant opened in 2006, reusing a wooden house that was built some 70 years ago. It's absolutely not 1,020 years old.
What a crock of shit, there are few buildings left standing after 1000 yrs and if they are they are not used for business purposes and left for preservation at this point.
