I shoot concerts quite a bit and many times I keep my settings on single point focus. There’s so many distractions like microphones and stands that get in the way and the camera usually picks up focus on those most of the time. So when I have single point focus I can keep it on the musicians face and follow them around the stage and take pics without worrying if their face is out of focus.
