I'm from the UK and 35+ years old and I also remember going to a friend's McDonald's birthday party. I remember thinking at the time, whooaaa this family must be rich AF.....
We used to have our birthday parties at McDonald’s as well (in the 80s).
When my dad made a little more money, we started having them at Pizza Hut. I miss those pizzas that came out in pans, big screen tv playing a Disney movie, small arcade, and Nickelodeon cakes.

My dad did this for me on my 12th birthday (1981). This pic just brought back so many good memories from my childhood. Thank you for that.
