I woke up early in Rome just for this reason. It was pre-pandemic and I wanted a good picture without the crowds and was enthralled with the view when I made the early morning run. The Grand Forum and the Pantheon were also really good spots for early morning photos. Cheers to my favorite city in the world!

If you wanted an empty coliseum without having to wake up early you could just fly to Oakland and go to an A’s game.
