I hate to ruin your fun, but I’m going to anyway. This is what happens when you don’t pick your zucchini / courgettes when they are normal sized. They continue to grow and become tough and flavorless. There’s even a name for overgrown zucchini; they are called marrows. You can still eat them. I think some people stuff them. But they aren’t as good.

They taste like dry ass if you let them get this big, it's best to harvest them when they're about a third to at most half of this size.
