I remember when this got posted last time. Somebody explained that these are not houses, they are gardens. For those that live near cities, this is a way to own a garden.

These are allotments (Danish: Kolonihaver), essentially a type of rented garden on otherwise public property, people are allowed to build little houses and you would normally buy the house of the previous renter.

You are only allowed to live in the house for the warmer half of the year but some people break that rule since there isn't much inspection.

Facilities vary a lot, so it could be all the way from a shack with some windows to a full fledged house. What facilities are lacking typically exist in some shared form (toilets, water post, etc.).

The gardens are more commonly square for obvious reasons, but these look great as an aerial view.
