Final Fantasy 7 is a PlayStation role-playing video game developed by Square Enix and published in 1997. It is the seventh main installment in the Final Fantasy series.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 1 was a big hit and was first released on PlayStation; however, it was recently pulled from the PlayStation Exclusive section in stores before Microsoft and Bethesda’s showcase, which hinted at the fact that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake would be heading to Xbox.
Furthermore, we have some more exciting news today, as it appears that Microsoft is not the only one who will be obtaining access to the well-known title, as the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 1 has also made its way to the Steam platform.
As seen in the screenshot of the Steamdb website, an unknown app with the code 1462040 called Final Fantasy 7 Remake was uploaded and updated 8 hours ago, implying that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 1 will be released on Steam.
It makes sense, given Final Fantasy Director Tetsuya Nomura’s statement, Everyone can look forward to the unveiling,” hinted at future titles being available on all platforms. In other words, Part 1 of the Final Fantasy 7 remake could be part of that change.

All of these events appear to be part of a larger picture, with Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 1 being pulled from Playstation’s Exclusive store section days before Microsoft and Bethesda’s showcase, director Tetsuya Nomura’s statement, and then Steamdb being updated for the release of Final Fantasy Remake Part 1 on Steam.
Regardless, we are overjoyed to see one of the most popular Final Fantasy titles make its way to Steam. It is probably one of the most popular titles in the Final Fantasy series, and it is encouraging to see that Final Fantasy is taking the appropriate steps to ensure that everyone can enjoy Final Fantasy titles.
It’s aggravating when a game you want to play is only available on a specific platform, and you have no choice but to buy that platform’s hardware or abandon it.

It seemed to run fine for me on ps4. The only thing I “hate” is being forced into this new “action focused” rpg direction. Maybe turn based just isn’t popular anymore but I have a feeling turn based remake would of done just fine. I like being able to take my time to make choices and controlling ALL party members. Just a pet peeve of mine as I like that style of play for these types of rpg. Not to say it isn’t fun, it is.
