Russia has forcibly abducted 200,000 Ukrainian children since the invasion began, President Zelensky said yesterday.
He said some of the youngsters were taken from orphanages, while others were separated from their families by the war.
He also said Kremlin forces had seized around a fifth of Ukraine's territory.
Speaking via video link to MPs in Luxembourg, he added: "As of today, the occupiers control almost 20 per cent of our territory, almost 125,000 square kilometres.
Earlier, in a passionate TV address, he told Ukrainians: "Russia is pursuing a consistent criminal policy of deporting our people.
This includes 256 health facilities and one in six Unicef-supported "safe schools" in the country's east.
