I think everyone who doesn't hold office has been saying this for years, and everyone who holds office hasn't done anything about it. This isn't really a party issue, it's a power issue.
Can we just take the small W that both sides agree on something this fundamental and perhaps, by some miracle, use this common ground to build bridges for once?
It is not productive to turn this W into yet another divisive argument in who is being hypocritical or how it's funny and ironic that some people can believe this when they also believe in other things perceived to be misaligned.
