I took this picture last summer at Watkins Glenn, New York. This is a pretty popular spot to take pictures, as it's one of the most photogenic waterfalls at the park (in my opinion anyway). I hadn't prepared very well, no good tripod or nd filter etc, so this was a pretty spur of the moment picture using a (very unstable) travel tripod while a far more prepared photographer stood to the side of me. The spot I stood in was under similar drips to the ones on the left, so I had to kind of stand over my camera to keep a good hold on it and keep most of the drops off.
I chose to go for the Milky water look by taking a long exposure. I got really lucky with the shot, the lighting, and a break in the foot traffic. I hope you like it :).

Any picture you can get at Watkins Glenn that doesn’t have hordes of people in it is a winner.
