Details of this shot:

This shot was taken using my phone; the Poco F3 using the built in macro camera. (Gcam + Custom settings)

To get such a shot an external light source was used to cast light to the side of the eye. This allowed for shadows in the iris to be exemplified. Namely that of the radial streaks, crypts and many other structures of the eye.

After a myriad of shots the photo was imported into Adobe Lightroom where color grading was done to get that rich color envisioned.

In some instances the lighting to the sides were very harsh so in an attempt to clean that up I imported the already edited shot into Snapseed, where parts of the photo were selectively edited to get a more pleasent representation of the shadows and lighting.

Lastly, when looking at the result it was missing something. I thought snow would fit in perfectly so I used Picnic to get the snow like effect.
