Hey I have a question!

My wife went through a phase when she read a lot of self-published work. The biggest issue she had was the lack of editing; we came away with the conviction that editors are critical. Catching spelling and syntax errors, continuity and plot holes, recommending tightening or embellishing areas... they do so much.

I've wondered since: how do you navigate this? Do you hire an editor? Have a friend who does it? If you hire one, where do you find them? rentaneditor.com? Or are you just so flawless an author you don't need an editor?
